There is no question that the automotive sector, as we know it, is changing. In the coming years the industry will face a future shaped by key trends with a concept which is common to all of them: the 4.0 manufacturing transformation of the industry.
And this was the approach of the fourth edition of BATZ Innovation Summit that, under the topic Factory for future, took place on October 17th at the AIC – Automotive Intelligence Center in Bilbao (Spain).
Along the day, participants explored the possibilities that disruptive technology-driven trends and the implementation of smart factory concepts along the complete manufacturing process offer to advanced industries at the hand of key players such as ACICAE, Basque Government, EIT Manufacturing, Volkswagen, Gestamp, Tecnalia, MONDRAGON and BATZ. The event was brought to a close with a visit to the ASF – Advanced Smart Factory, competence centre for the advanced manufacturing located at AIC.
These annual innovation summits aim to be a forum where the automotive ecosystem meet and identify the challenges and opportunities for the future of the sector and a space that facilitate the exchange of ideas.
